Sport Extremadura CD was founded in June 2021 in Badajoz as an ambitious project to promote women’s football in Extremadura. The club has established a robust training program with over 350 players across its various youth categories, integrating the RCD Espanyol Badajoz Academy to strengthen its youth academy. In 2026, the first women’s team achieved promotion to the Primera RFEF (Spanish Women’s First Division), one of the most significant milestones in the club’s recent history and a symbol of its continued sporting growth.
